It’s Been a Long Time

I shouldn’t have left you with a <dope story> to step to, time’s up, I’m sorry I kept you….I know you got soul -Rakim

It is rare that I meet a golfer without a little bit of swag and soul. Each player in his or her own unique way, brings flavor to course.

Specifically I am referring to how no matter what race, religion or creed, with a little self awareness, every person brings a bit of nerdiness, athleticism, confidence or neediness to the golf course. I am speaking for myself.

For a while, I stopped writing golf stories or about my encounters because I enjoyed telling the stories to friends, on the course, at the dinner table, over drinks, and anyplace that was worthy of a good story.

After a recent rant, about hitting golf balls into hula-hoops, a friend said, just write about it. My response was, isn’t it more exciting when I tell a story??? Reading seems to be a dying art form, like using an abacus to count, maybe not that extreme. People like to view content, use emojis instead of writing sentences, and listen to books or podcasts while multitasking.

Since I like to read and write, I’ve decided my posts are for the people like me, no labels, simply people that do not mind reading a quirky story, golf related of course. So here I am, reintroducing my blog and making an authentic pivot. This is an informal dialogue, actually monologue, unless you email me.
