Once upon a time, at a picturesque 305 acre college campus, with a great lawn that was a one hole golf course, I took a computer programming class. The first program I ever created in school, was Hello World! Ironically with the creation of this blog, I inadvertently return to where I started. My unlikely path to computer science, is similar to my unusual path to golf.
Imagine needing just 1 credit to graduate college. Imagine the frustration of thumbing through a monstrous spring course catalog (it was not digital a.k.a. life in the 90’s) for any 1 credit class. Imagine worrying that you may not graduate, then wondering if your loan would pay extra for credits you don’t need. Imagining every proclamation made, “I will not to become a professional student.” No offense to all of my friends that have found a career in going to school, you’re smart, you’re kind and you’re important. Now imagine the joy in finding a 1 credit golf course.
